Betty Goodwin is Dead

Oh no, no no. I have to write another remembrance. Betty Goodwin was one of Canada's major artists, and a wonderful lady. I interviewed her for a cover story for the Montreal Mirror free weekly paper, which for complicated reasons never got published, but we were always on nice terms, meeting in the street. It seems her husband pre-deceased her by a few weeks. She was pretty frail in her later years, and had Parkinson's disease, but kept making art. I hate the idea that I won't see her on the Main anymore, in line for a sandwich.
