Just swinging by for a long overdue check-in and wanted to mention that this one raised a much-needed laugh this Wednesday morning. Thanks.
It reminds me simultaneously of a pinched, elongated version of Darrel Hammond doing his Sean Connery impersonation or a similarly squeezed and heavily dieted version of the late Leo McKern. There's a little in it that reminds me of Bob (Flaming Carrot) Burden's work, too.
It seems strange they they're publishing new "Rumpole" books with McKern's likeness on the cover. I know he's not that character, but it feels as if it's linking to a parallel universe where he's still alive, and aging even more.
