Line Painting

As a public service, here's line-painting on my Montreal street, which they're getting to, early. It's an all woman crew, too. With my neighbour looking on.

I love how orange and bright the road cones are. (Oh, man, first cats, and now this. I'm sounding like that Bob Ross guy. Scary, huh?)

Hey Jack,
I always loved your drawings. Good to see them on your blog. But your photos too...they're really really good. They transform your drawings and sketches, etc. but still retain a similar style of narrative that you have in your drawings. They also make me feel a little homesick. It's been 10 months! 10 months! And it will be two years not to long from now, I'm sure! Goodness! Pardon me, but am I colour blind, but are the cone red? Not orange. You say they are orange, but I've so often had this kind of disagreement, I refused to be dogmatic about it one way or another.

Anyway, terrific to see your prolific blog. Hello from Miaoli, Taiwan...soon to be Fengyuan, Taiwan, Nie Hao Ma! Guongli, Jack! Sorry to have been such a ugly pain in the butt to you all those years of my youth. Ach, to be 19, 20, 21, and stupid, and crackpotish all over again!

Gee, thanks! Good luck in Asia. I have some friends who are quite happy there. (others, not so much, but it's what you make of it). Certainly the land of opportunity. As for old stuff, remember Heraclitus, and "All things floweth," so look ahead, and do good and worthy things.

Maybe the cones are really vermilion. I've always thought orange, as a caution colour, rather than red, which is stop dead,
