A Matched couple

Match

Again, I don't know what this is about. It's not trying to be funny, it's not drawn from photos. It's not anyone I know or a story I was thinking of. I don't know why Mount Fuji is in the background. It's just a study of shading, which I can get into.

It's interesting how this kind of cross-hatching is like painting. You don't know where you are going until you're about 90 percent done. Then you can add the blacks and the details that make a picture pop out. Or maybe not.

It's also pleasant, since this is pen and ink, to leave in a few of the pencil lines, which to me help define some parts.
