The Ultimate Trucker

trucker

Busy boy. I was writing about a trucker, and trying to make him sound interesting, and I could only go with the information the researcher gave me. This had a lot of superlatives, but nothing really to justify many of them.

He drives a refrigerated truck, but we've already described refrigeration in another episode of this show, and besides, he leaves the refrigeration off during winter, which is when we were filming him.

So, here's a drawing at least, of the Ultimate Trucker. Have no idea what that is hanging, but I think I saw it in a dream. Some sort of fetish object. I mean in the old sense, of a religious idol or icon.

Some Woman

broad

This was sitting on top of my notepaper by my telephone. Too big to write on any more, but I didn't want to throw it out. Blogging it is the best solution.

Deranged Again

pair.
Anyone is welcome to explain this. Tough day. Lousy weather outside. Drawing even bizarre stuff helps.

If I were pressed, I'd say McGill student from the future, and long-haired Kevin Bacon. There.

In the Year 2025....

future

The magical year 2025, according to an illustration I did for the McGill Reporter. The helmets pick up live internet, which is displayed on the visors. All of the vehicles are human-powered. I don't know what's going on with those walkways, except they come from "Metropolis."

In the year 2525

If man is still alive

If woman can survive, they may find......

Guys looking left

carpenter

Impression of John Carpenter, director of "The Thing" and "Halloween," "Assault on Pricinct 13" and other cool, sometimes varying films. From the DVD of the Thing.

trudeau

Dennis Trudeau . Local CBC anchorman, who's retiring or has already left (actually, his last day is today, November 10). He's amiably rumpled, had very long hair and a beard in the '80s (yay!). This is just a drawing from memory (too lazy to look him up). That's to excuse the inaccuracy, but I think it looks like him.

I'm writing my second shooting script for this TV show I'm working on, and it's hard work organizing all the stuff so it's exciting. I think I've made it over the hump, but that's perhaps because I don't know what problems lie ahead.

The Adventures of James McGill

mcgillcomic

Busy boy, so all I've got for my tens of fans is a comic I did for the McGill Alumni association employee fundraising. It was a lot of fun to do, though tough to fit in all those words they gave me (I thought I did not too badly).

Unfortunately, the higher-ups thought it was a little too light-hearted for the high tone of their institution, and so it was never mailed. But you get to see it at last! I got permission to do this from Daniel McCabe, whose idea this was, and he's a stand-up guy who likes comics.

Man, I love doing this, even though the financial rewards are slight. But now that I'm a big deal TV writer, maybe I can indulge myself in some comics, when I get my life organised to see if I'll ever have time. Sorry for being so mysterious. I'll publish details when the shows air!
