What's this?
Well, for my first trick. I typed a lot of stuff and then screwed it up by trying to preview it, and losing everything. It gives me a chance to really think about what I'm writing.
This is a lot of work, you know.
It's night time in Montreal. The garbage truck has just passed, leaving the odor of partially burnt diesel and disturbed garbage. It's pretty dark outside, where at this time a month ago, it would have been light. The end of the month, and my phone has started ringing, and I hope things are waking up from their summer torpor. I've got a lot of work to do, which I've not been doing.
Now I'm doing this, which is a new project. Haven't even renovated my web-site, but I guess that will come. I'd always planned on doing a blog, but had not yet heaved my heart into my mouth. Mainly I was worried about communicating too much of my usual bad mood here.
What I'll try to do is write long descriptions of what's happening around me, review books and movies I've enjoyed (or haven't ), and put up links to things which have caught my attention. I also want to show off sketches I do, because they are important to my comic and illustration work (sometimes they ARE my comic and illustration work, or at least the best-looking part.)
At the moment, the September issue of MensuHell is coming out, which may have a few of my drawings scattered throughout. You can find this if you live in Quebec, or prehaps they'll send you one if you follow the link. Reading French helps if you want to get the most from it, but my contributions are in English. Sadly, it won't have an episode of The Skinny Nameless Punk, but I hope this will get resolved. Collaborations are tough!
I did the cover for Number #56 , which you can see below:

That's what I was previewing when I managed to trash my first draft of this entry. The link on the number above includes a teaser to the story I did for the mag, "The Haunted Theatre." I think that now it's a 'back issue,' I can let you read the whole story.
I think that's enough for now, except that I want to advertise that "The Making of the Lord of the Rings Symphony" will premiere on Bravo TV in Canada on September 4, 8:30 PM, and in Quebec on ArtTV, Monday, September 13, at 8 pm. It's the first TV program I've had a hand in as a writer, though I ended up being called "Post Production Consultant." I'll have to draw a curtain over much of the process here, but will give you something interesting to look for in a later post. For you Americans and everyone else, the program is s coming out with the Extended DVD set . I have no idea what the final version will look like, but am sure it will sound great!
Well, that's enough for one night. Later, books I'm reading, and perhaps some sketches. Also, I'll have to assemble all the links on the side which make a blog bloggy!

I'm commenting on my own post. How pathetic is that? I hope people are reading.
Some people are reading it.
Cool. I'll try to relax more. Got two jobs today, and I mainly felt nervous about it. Will work harder on feeling good!
